Leading Business Strategist Anthony Campisi to Discuss "The Impact of Creativity on Social and Political Policy" at Philadelphia's Global Creative Economy Convergence Summit
Philadelphia, PA — June 7, 2006
Leading business strategist Anthony Campisi, who is focused on pioneering a new breed of business solutions and coined the concept of The New Marketing Economy™, will be a featured panelist at the inaugural Global Creative Economy Convergence Summit, to be held in Philadelphia from June 12 to 14, 2006.
Campisi is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Annodyne, Inc., a professional services company providing Internet business strategy and creative/technical execution for clients as diverse as The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Comcast Corporation, Lucent Technologies, MapQuest, and Rollerblade. He has also worked directly with a number of high profile political campaigns, as well as regional and civic business and cultural institutions.
He will be a member of a panel discussion, “The Impact of Creativity on Social and Political Policy.” This panel will explore how creativity and political and social policy are interrelated. Learn how governments are recruiting creative talent to help run their cities and implementing creative initiatives to retain creative talent; learn how the Internet has changed the face of campaigns; and how music events are intertwined with social and political agendas. The panel is moderated by Steve Wray, Pennsylvania Economy League-Eastern Division. Joining Campisi as panelists are Josh Sevin (City of Philadelphia Department of Commerce), Mark Schulz (Mismo Mundo Festival) and Signe Wilkinson (Philadelphia Daily News).
The panel will be conducted from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Clover Room, on the first floor of The Park Hyatt Hotel Philadelphia at the Bellevue, Broad and Walnut Streets, Philadelphia, 19102 (215-893-1234).
Campisi coined the concept, The New Marketing Economy™ to describe how the Internet and web-based technologies are changing traditional marketing models as we know them. He leads a blog under the same name at www.newmarketingeconomy.com. A gifted entrepreneur, Campisi has grown the company he founded in 2001 from a boutique agency specializing in e-mail marketing campaigns, to a full-service developer of Internet-centric marketing models. Prior to founding Annodyne, Campisi played an integral role in the resurgence of Cartel Systems and the launch of Mercadien Technologies, two regionally-based network integration and e-Business services companies. Campisi sits on the Board of Directors of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, is the Philadelphia Direct Marketing Association’s eMarketing Council Chairman, and is on the Advisory Board for the Philadelphia Area New Media Association – a division of the Eastern Technology Council.
The Global Creative Economy Convergence Summit is designed to showcase Philadelphia’s creative assets, with regional, national and international creative, business and technology leaders convening to learn and share best practices of creative economies throughout the world.
