Email Campaign Series & Online Contest
Objectives
For the 2003 Philadelphia mayoral campaign, Sam Katz’s Committee was looking for a non-traditional web presence that would remain user-friendly for a wide range of constituents while promoting their core objectives - generating volunteers, contributions and future communications.

Their challenge was figuring out how to do it.

Execution
It became clear that success would be found not by simply highlighting issues, but by creating a constant push towards the direct actions driving them. This became the foundation for Katz’s entire campaign, attracting new voters and constituents and spreading his message – all while providing up to the minute information.

Of equal importance was establishing the necessary infrastructure for Katz’s committee to easily and efficiently communicate with their constituency. To better manage the ever changing content on the website, a unique “digital dashboard” interface was developed to enable even non-technical users to securely manage site content. This intuitive forms-based content management system ensured that all content stayed up-to-date and formatting remained consistent throughout.

In addition to content management tools, Annodyne provided email marketing and volunteer tracking functionality as well. These areas enabled senior staff to send key email communications and track/analyze volunteer growth.

Having broken new ground online for a number of political candidates, Annodyne has become highly regarded as an expert in the impact of Internet communications on political campaigns.
