Position Summary

The primary role of the Account Strategist is to support the Account Team and oversee a portfolio of Annodyne client accounts, with a heavy focus on account retention, account strategy, and account growth. This involves actively managing, nurturing, and growing client relationships through alignment of client goals and objectives with agency strategies and solutions as well as providing an optimal client experience. The Account Strategist supports the Account Team to provide clear and strategic direction to an assigned Project Manager as well as functional teams within the organization.

Position Responsibilities

  • Managing the day to day relationships with clients to ensure we exceed their expectations
  • Leading client business reviews and communicating performance optimizations recommended along with the planned roadmap
  • Analyzing campaign metrics to ensure client goals are reached
  • Escalating any issues and concerns raised by clients to internal team
  • Partner closely with the support teams to ensure optimal campaign setup
  • Develop a sustainable revenue growth on assigned accounts by expansion opportunities, generating proposals, and renewal efforts
  • Develop thorough understanding of the clients’ marketplace, their customers and competitors, and conducting secondary research as needed
  • Provide direction on strategic messaging, media planning and production for traditional, digital and social media activities
  • Provide insightful creative briefs to the Project Manager assigned to the accounts, helps to ensure that all projects are scheduled, maintained and launched on time
  • Works with Director of Operations in preparing for all contract renewals and SOWs

Required Skills and Experience

  • 1 to 4 years of direct or digital advertising/marketing experience, client facing skills, ability to handle multiple client accounts, with quarterly/annual goals or revenue accountability
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in display, performance marketing (retargeting) or other digital advertising, with full-funnel account strategy initiatives
  • Must be PASSIONATE about performance marketing or digital advertising, enjoys thinking outside the box, and love’s driving results for their clients!
  • Proven experience in managing and growing top tiered clients in a fast-paced, innovative, and goal-oriented or revenue driven environment
  • Experience building and delivering strategic quarterly business reviews. Some travel will be required quarterly to meet with top clients
  • Proven track record of analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, and confident to provide outstanding service and optimal performance of campaigns for top clients.
  • Must love working collaboratively across multiple operational teams
