Position Summary

The Search Marketing Specialist requires a deep understanding of paid and organic media, including but not limited to: Paid Search / PPC, Paid Social Media, Display Banners Ads, and Search Engine Optimization / SEO. The specialist will be the subject matter expert and provide strategic recommendations and execute client media plans. This role will own and manage client campaigns, from the initial setup to ongoing optimization and reporting – all with a focus on conversion/ROI.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize paid media strategies to increase campaign effectiveness
  • Develop, build, implement and manage paid search campaigns
  • Develop, build, implement and manage paid social media campaigns
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of campaigns; manage and optimize to meet client and internal performance goals
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid media campaigns
  • Manage, track and report campaign budgets
  • Partner with account management team on client calls. Update client on performance and activities and provide insights around the client’s marketing and website results
  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics , initiatives and campaigns
  • Research and analyze competitive landscape
  • Optimize website copy and landing pages for search engines and conversions
  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Perform on-page SEO, technical SEO, link analysis, and link building
  • Local search and digital listings management (NAP)
  • Use SEO tools to monitor, analyze and optimize website activity, traffic trends, SERP rankings through monthly reports.
  • Work with project management to ensure that SEO best practices are implemented across client projects
  • Support SEO for client’s social media strategy, including recommendations for blogs, video, and social media channels
  • Track work assignments daily

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2-4 years of SEM experience
  • Managed multiple paid media campaigns with monthly budgets of $10k+
  • Understanding of landing page best practices and A/B testing
  • Hands-on experience with site analytics – Google Analytics, Webtrends, SiteCatalyst
  • Experienced in lead generation and performance marketing
  • Up-to-date with SEM trends and best practices
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
    • Excel including pivot tables, v-look ups, and web queries
    • Power Point knowledge including linking excel docs, webpages, and ad ons
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Google certification including:
    • Google AdWords Fundamentals
    • Search Advertising Advanced
    • Display Advertising Advanced
    • Google Analytics Individual
